Took the ferry to Kandilli specifically for Suna Abla's restaurant and it was absolutely worth it. Right on the waterfront by the ferry landing, fresh fish, wonderful mezes. A completely authentic local experience far from the tourist spots.

One of the most genuine fish restaurants I found in Istanbul. The octopus salad and fish soup were outstanding. The Asian shore vibe is completely different — quieter, more local. Suna Abla's warmth makes it special.

Hidden gem on the Asian Bosphorus shore. Ferry to Kandilli, walk to Suna Abla's place, sit by the water and eat the freshest fish. The stuffed mussels and grilled sea bass were superb. Real Istanbul, not tourist Istanbul.
