AI Summary
Erguvan is a restaurant on Heybeliada, the second-largest of Istanbul's Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara. Like everything on the car-free islands, reaching Erguvan requires a 50-minute ferry from Kabataş — and arriving by sea, to an island with horse-drawn carriages and no motor vehicles, is part of the experience. The restaurant sits on the island and serves Turkish and regional dishes in a setting that feels entirely disconnected from the city pace across the water. The menu leans on fresh fish, seasonal meze and grilled meats — simple, honest cooking that suits the island's unhurried atmosphere. Erguvan is best experienced as part of a full-day island excursion: take the morning ferry, walk or take a fayton (horse carriage) around the island, and settle in for a long lunch before the afternoon boat back.

The perfect setting for a long island lunch. Heybeliada is already magical — no cars, horse carriages, pine forests — and Erguvan fits the mood perfectly. Fresh fish, good meze, unhurried service. Take the morning ferry from Kabataş.

Excellent meal on a wonderful island. We had the grilled sea bass and several cold meze — all fresh and well-prepared. The outdoor seating is the obvious choice on a nice day. A must for any Princes' Islands visit.

Took the ferry from Kabataş, hired a bicycle, cycled around the island, and ended up here for lunch. Couldn't have planned a better day. The food is honest, seasonal Turkish cooking at its best.

A genuine island restaurant, not a tourist trap. The menu changes with the season and the fish is clearly sourced locally. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Go on a weekday if you can to avoid the weekend crowds.

Wonderful experience. The island itself is reason enough to visit, and Erguvan is the right place for a long, relaxed meal when you get there. The olive oil dishes were the highlight.
