Kalpazankaya Restaurant

We arrived without a booking at around 4pm Saturday. I felt, despite it not being busy we were going to be turned away. We visited on the ferry intending to eat here. We were shown our table with stunning views. Beautiful. There are no paper menus it’s on your phone app but I kept losing 4G. Water was brought out to us. Eventually I was taken to see the starters an amazing selection, fish so much to choose from & the meat selection but we opted for food we liked so I suggested foods and it came out quite quickly. There is a beach below which was in an amazing setting. It’s a restaurant with I feel a beach bar vibe and food to match. The location is stunning. We had a satisfying meal, the waiters were friendly & helpful. Toilets immaculate & outdoors up a few steps. As it’s high up in the hills & the last stop for the electric bus there is a welcome breeze that cools you from the Bosphorus. So needed! It would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues, be mindful. My chicken skewers were not skewers just 4 pieces of chicken. Squid was amazing, salad as always simple but tasty. It was just right. Atmosphere- the setting! This is a no car island. Wonderful!

This is usually a very nice place but the service went down since my last visit it seems. It is at the opposite end of island relatively to the center. I called them before walking there (half an hour of walk) and they told me that there will not be a problem to find us a table. When we arrived, the only table they proposed us was close to a tent that was essentially hiding the view (the view is the main attraction of this restaurant). I told them that the table was not nice at all and they did not make any effort to accommodate our request. I should also say that at that moment all tables but one were empty. Consequently, we left and had a very nice lunch at Barba Yani restaurant at the quay side in the center.

View is unbeatable but the food is as good. I don't understand why the rating of this place is low. Servers are not trying to upsell. We asked for a fish for two and said make it more than a kilo of fish. They still brought us a kilo of fish which was the perfect size. I can't wait to go back. Don't bother to make a reservation. The management is not bright enough to count the tables and count the reservation at the same time.

We made a special trip to Burgazada Island just to eat at this place, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely incredible and super fresh. The variety of mezzes was great, each one more delicious than the last. The views paired with the warm and friendly staff made the experience unforgettable. This is definitely a spot i’ll be returning to!

Outdoor restaurant on an island. Great views of the sun set Food was just okay. Lots of stairs to get to the restaurant so be prepared. Didn’t see any facility for anyone who can’t climb the stairs to the restaurant

You can use the TOUR BUS at the island to get to the restaurant. It's the last stop. The tour bus uses your Istanbul kart and deducts around 26TL. The restaurant has an extra ordinary view. Perfect place to have a romantic lunch or watch the sunset. If you walk down the stairs, it leads you to a beautiful and private beach. You can take your own drinks to the beach. The people are really friendly.

Lovely view from the restaurant. Food is not fantastic but fine. Service is good. They don't speak much English but the menu is in Turkish and English. The walk from the harbor to the restaurant is also very nice

The only place on the island where you can watch the sunset and have a good meal. The food was pretty good and tell staff was friendly enough however not very attentive... We asked for the wine options/menu after we had ordered the mezzes at the entrance and gotten to our table but there was no wine menu in sight as the food was being served so I had to go to the back to see the selection... The biggest issue was the bill where quite a few items that we didn't order appeared on... The staff was friendly and took off the items we didn't eat/drink however note that this wasn't just an extra Coke or so... the final bill was 20% less than what they originally wanted to get us to pay. Now I don't know how much of this is an honest mistake but also not the first time this happened at this establishment. Check your your bill over before paying. Would have been a 4star without the issue with the bill.
